Downtime

Expect 24 hours of downtime. The first 24-48 hrs after your treatment you will experience redness. After a few days your skin may slightly flake. Avoid microneedling if you wish to attend an event within 48-72 hrs post-treatment.

Post-Care (Don't's)

  1. Do not use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C, scrubs, or anything perceived as ‘active’ or exfoliating skincare for 7 days post-treatment
  2. Avoid extended periods in the sun and apply an SPF of 30 or higher every 3 hours when you leave the house for the following 2 weeks especially
  3. Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment
  4. No makeup, sweating, exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment. Sweating and gym environments are harmful, rife with bacteria, and may cause adverse reactions
  5. Avoid touching the skin

Post-Care (Do's)

Immediately After (First 24 hrs)

  1. Change your pillowcase
  2. Avoid sun exposure - stay inside or wear a hat
  3. Hale Derma is highly recommended post-needling as it kills any bacteria and helps speed up recovery time
  4. Apply hale derma spray and a pure hyaluronic acid serum as often as needed to keep the skin clean and hydrated
  5. Do not touch or wash your face

24 Hrs After

  1. You can wash your face with a gentle cleanser and use a light moisturizer
  2. Keep skin as hydrated and moisturized as possible
  3. Continue spraying hale derma spray as needed
  4. Use a high-protection zinc (mineral) sunscreen when outdoors and avoid prolonged sun exposure
  5. Wash your makeup brushes before using them again to ensure no bacteria gets on the face during healing. Bacteria from makeup brushes can cause clogged pores and acne breakouts especially after microneedling

4 Days After

  1. If you have any dry or flaky skin, you can gently exfoliate with a gentle scrub or washcloth to speed up recovery
  2. If your skin still feels too sensitive, do not exfoliate yet; it will subside soon. Continue to hydrate and moisturize the skin 2x per day

3-5 Days After

  1. Apply high-protection sunscreen daily
  2. Focus on hydrating and moisturizing products
  3. You can now use a richer moisturizer to keep your skin nourished
  4. You can apply vaseline on any dry spots after your moisturizer

7+ Days After

  1. Return to your regular skincare routine and enjoy the glow!
